The Brilliance Of Beckwith

East Beckwith Mountain comes alive as alpenglow hits the mountains side and paints the purple and pink during sunrise. Located along Kebler Pass outside the town of Crested Butte, Colorado, I spent a lot of time down here this Fall and came home with a massive amount of images. It's utterly stunning down there and next year I will be calling it "base camp" as well as there's a lot of areas down here I want to explore & photograph. As far as this shot goes, my mouth was basically completely wide open as I took clicked the shutter. The color backed up by distant rumbled of thunder, sure made for some incredible atmosphere!
