Description
First light of the day hits Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Below, in the valley, the sounds of Elk bugling was like music to my ears. Standing here, watching this unfold is akin to heaven.
Towering at 14,259 feet high, it is said that the climb to the top of the peak was probably first done by pre-Columbian indigenous people collecting eagle feathers. Pretty amazing to think that.
In camera HDR on my Sony a550, using a Minolta 18-200mm lens, Fotodiox CPL and GND , along with my tripod.
I hope you all like it

Wow, those pine trees in the foreground really put the mountains into perspective!
I've always wanted to go out west and see the Rockies in person. I hear they make the mountains here out east look like hills.
