Every now and then you happen upon a scene in nature that makes your mouth drop open. This was how this scene was here in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Photographed along Trailridge Road at an altitude of more than 2 miles in elevation, a severe thunderstorm was happening at sunset with lightning all around us. I had to hand hold the camera because there was simply no way I was getting out of the car; too dangerous. It left us completely speechless to be inside the clouds when this was happening and the sunset blazing away over the Rocky Mountains.
