HELL NO. It's a thankless, life-sucking volunteer position. You have put your heart, soul, and time into this with full-passion, and gotten nothing but life drama because of it.
DArama is terrible, and non-stop. People here are often petty, immature, and out to get anyone they can. You've pulled this category up so well, and done SO much for it. I know I could never be 1/8 the GM you've been, and after seeing how much of your life you've sacrificed for this volunteer work, I can't say I'd be interested in taking it on myself.
If you do step down, goodness help DA, as they will have lost an awesome, dedicated, and passionate volunteer, who's gone above and beyond the call of duty, only to be spat and kicked at by too many.
John I would just like to say I would hate to see you go as the GM I would love to be one but I do not have 80 hours week to do the job right. I think the position should be a paid position because of the time commitment, and I have great respect for those who fill those positions whether I agree with them or not.
I have actually presented an application for the general photography GM about a month ago, but I never got an answer. I'm not sure about being APN GM though, honestly, I don't think anyone can fill your place.

Like saying the word through and should of been throw my hat in the ring along with all the other people who would like to help do the community service for dA. I was just wondering, why don't you just have a Co-GM so that someone may help you out a bit more. We truly do want you to keep doing the amazing job that you have been doing here.
That would be awesome to be able to promote work I discovered from other people and promote nature and photography. The only bad point is that it requires a lot of time because it's probably one of the hugest area in dA, time that I don't have now...

Yes i would , would love to contribute in a positive way like you did but honestly i really don't have time to do it

It would certainly give me something constructive to focus on and a legit excuse to browse for the the most amazing pictures around.
