:bulletred: My Personal Demons in Art & Features:bulletred:

My DA message center is cleared of images! Holy crap! lol And with that outta the way now.....

I suppose we all pretty much our Demons when it comes to our own art. I have quite a few, and I battle them almost on a daily basis. To me, my photography is something which I hold tightly and deeply to me. Every image I create is an extension of me. I struggle all the time with my shots, endlessly so. My ability to see my own work and how good or bad it looks is blinded. I use the 2 minute rule a lot which I learned in Art College, get up, look at something else, for 2 minutes, then come back and look at it. Lately my direction is kinda all over the place in what it is I want to achieve with my shots. I suppose in a way I want it all, but truth be told that isn't possible either. This morning I kinda got a lil shock, and I won't go in detail, but I just saw something on here that bummed me out in a sense. And I realized something about my own work. And maybe you all can help me with this because I haven't a freakin' clue. Why are my print sales absolutely dismal?!?? Is it the subject matter itself? Is it 'cuz it isn't something you would hang on the wall? You all can be honest with me here because this could really help me. I see so many people on here on DA making a ton of cash off their sales and then I think, why aren't I also? What am I doing wrong exactly?!?!? And I can't find an answer. In the mere 9 months I have been selling stock on stock sites, I have more than 6x my intake than on my DA print sales and I have been doing it about 2 1/2 years. So I want to up my print sales, but I am at a loss as to how exactly. I will take any and all suggestions with this, believe me. It really is something which I am struggling with.
I am also going to start "peddling" my images outside of the internet. Have to save some $ up for frames though and glass, and away we go. Just has been a really big help and inspiration for that, and I thank you love! I would love to see my stuff hanging in galleries and in magazines, and that will take a LOT of hard work, but first, it MUST be presentable, and that requires a large investment on my part. We'll see, I am not sure I am really that good enough for that yet.

:bulletred: Other Things:

At the moment Denver is cooking with temps hovering at or above 100. Sigh, it's so hot that it has made me sick, I no longer have energy at all, totally drained. I also have no a/c in my house to speak of. A few fans sure, but they just recirculate the hot air. I feel like a great big fat pig on the BBQ outside. The afternoons and evening are the worst. I get light heated, and feel nausiated as can be. No fun. I also am having a hard time sleeping at night. My sleeping patterns are so messed up cuz of the damn weather. I keep waking up, head soaked in sweat. So I have been trying to sleep daytime some when it's cooler, just to catch up, not easy at all. If I had the $ I would check in at a local suite motel for a week, and get better....or go to Leadville where the temps at night are in the 40s and the highs daytime at 70.  Klaus seems to be doing fine, how though I am unsure.

Thanks guys for all the new watches and fav's I really appreciate it a LOT! Much! Also, check out the features below, some good stuff there! Hope you all are good!

I don't even know what to say about James, I have watched him for so long, and he has been a big influence and inspiration on me. He is a regular contributor on The Shutterbugs and is always so helpful to others. He is a master in composition and in exposure, his landscapes are some of the best on all of DA, bar none. Check him out, you will be drooling all over!
