Winter's Rainbow Of Color

And what a start to the day it was! A winter of rainbow color greeted me on the top of Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. Just utterly serene and tranquil, not a sound could be heard. Well worth the cold to get a shot like this! I was pretty stoked when the sun broke the horizon on the eastern plains.

Thoughts welcomed, print to come, apologies to my redbubble.com watchers whom have seen it already :)

Gorgeous shot from a gorgeous place.

I must admit though, I got a chuckle from it when I first looked at it, as the sun breaking the plain and rising almost looks like an explosion of some sort.

Beautiful! I understand when you say it was well worth the cold. I remember one day when we were canoeing...I took a picture of the lake when it was all misty, just after sun rise. it was FREEZING and i couldnt feel my fingers anymore..but to have a moment captured like that make it all worth while. I think that's definatly what you've done here. It really feels warm and welcoming despite the winter snow. Excellent work as usual :D
