Description

Wild Sunflowers of the Sunrise

First a personal word on this shot......speaking from my heart....

Ya know, every now and then when you are photographing a scene, the world seems to literally stop. The scene goes like this....
here I was down a road that dead ended looking out towards the Eastern Plains of Colorado, early in the morning and not a sound to be heard. Waiting for the first light of dawn to come over the hill. The doors on my car were open when suddenly I hear the familiar twang of a guitar from Big & Rich's song "Lost in This Moment"and I just simply froze.....in a trance. The only thing that was missing from this whole entire scene was you Judy. I honestly would have given anything to be spending this moment with you. For once, a moment in time, where the world seemed like it was actually almost perfect. I simply don't have the words to really describe what it was I was feeling when I shot this.........so I shall let the image speak for me...

Critique: I love sunflowers so right away I like this picture. What I think could make it better is making sure that the day you go to shoot is not as cloudy as it is in this picture. You can't get the full beauty of the sunrise because of this. Also you might have wanted to go a few steps to the right so that at the edge of the left would be those two sunflowers---right there popping out at you. Overall though, this is a very well done picture. I especially love the author's note you put under it. Very touching.
Lastly I want to say am NOT a professional photographer. I just do it for fun and even then rarely put them up on the internet. So PLEASE do not be offended by my critique- my intention was to make a few SMALL suggestions.

God Bless,
