Photographed a couple days ago at Brainard Lake, Colorado. This bull Moose was a big guy, chomping on the Willow bushes in the light of a golden hour morning. he also got incredibly close, way to close for comfort for me. So much so that I had "to much lens" at the time and needed a wide angle, however instead I opted for some more "intimate" closeups.

I love Moose, it is always a joy to see them and to be able to photograph one of natures most incredible species. You really don't realize just how big they are until you see them in person. I love his eyes, I imagine that they could tell quite a story if they could speak. In a sense I think they are.

Wonderful capture, John. I don't think people understand how difficult it is to get a shot like this. This is stellar!

You are completely correct, many don't have a clue. I already had some group decline who said it wasn't "advanced" lol I had to basically laugh at that. Stuff like that shows complete lack of knowledge about wildlife photography and technique

Advanced? what the heck is that supposed to mean? what are they-the moose whisperer or something? Same happened to me on a shot a posted a few months ago. I ended up dropping the group.

lol more like "domesticated family per whisperer". Oh well, to each their own. Cracks me up though.
