This past Fall I made sure to do one thing and that was to concentrate on a lot more intimate scenes in nature. Huge gigantic landscapes are great, but I told myself that I wanted to bring something back that would be different, more intimate, and stood out....this is one of those shots.
The blue skies of Colorado are pretty legendary, songs have been sung about them, endless words written about them...and when I saw this Aspen tree this Fall in it's incredible red and gold color backed by the sky, I was all about it. I went ahead and chose a rather unique perspective which would elevate the foreshortening of the scene along with the forced perspective.
