There was something about this scene which spoke to. We don't get Hoar frost very often in Colorado so when I heard that there was a good chance for it I made sure to head down to Chatfield State Park early in the morning to see what I could find. I wouldn't leave empty handed. Everything was covered in it...all the trees and the fresh snowfall was simply amazing with the ice crystals at times reflecting in the morning sunlight. The hues of color; pinks, blues, grays and whites, all came alive and seemed to dance at sunrise.
