The Solitary Winter
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
One of the things I love to do is study the landscape and compositions using my Tamron 200-400mm getting in close to things that otherwise one would miss with a standard landscape lens. I am often amazed at the things which I see and the things which I find. As was the case with this shot here.
This is a rework of the color version below, using one of my custom made Lightroom 3 split tone presets which I am thinking about making available at some point, with final touch up in Photoshop cs5. I really wanted a sense of emotion, mood, and feeling, of how harsh the winters can be up here.
