Cherry Creek State Park outside of Denver was the location of this shot, a shot that I was freaking over...the light in this was just like nothing I had ever seen, almost surreal with the storm clouds in the background that were forming, that also were reflecting the sunrise. Mood and atmosphere, I tell ya, and I don't know if I had ever seen light like this before....so vivid and warm...one would not guess it was freezing cold outside, so much so, I couldn't even touch the damn tripod with my hands lol
It's just gorgeous and there is little to critique. I would have used the rule of thirds with the horizon line, but that's just me, and it wouldn't have made this image any better necessarily. I still think it's stunning. The treatment of color is wonderful, the exposure is spot on. The golden highlights in the trees and grass really draws the eye. The dark cloud adds a dramatic feel to the image. You can still see a hint of snow in the foreground. I believe that you have a wonderful feel for light and how it plays on a particular scene. This is evident in many of your images. One can almost feel the sun on one's cheek.
Perfect timing for this shot. The contrast made by the blue-purple sky and the almost fire red of the field give this photo the distinct look. Besides, the little parts of the ground reflecting the colour of the sky balance the picture.
You can really feel the warmth by looking at it, as if in some point ig going to catch on fire. And, apart from that, the special feeling also comes from the neat horizon, that almost perfect line dividing this strange but amazing colours for a landscape.
This photo is really breathtaking. And makes you wish to be there just for a second to feel it even closer.
