Sunsets and Thunderstorms
Shot last evening..... So it goes on the Eastern Plains of Colorado in the summer.....violent storms seen from a distance as this Supercell Thunderstorm about 60 miles to the south east of my location was causing a ruckus. Funny thing about this shot, ya know those Sunflower shots I just recently posted, well this was shot right by those fields, but the lighting had gone pretty much south at sundown, so I just happened to look behind me and saw this in the sky, reflecting the sunset...even though when looking west, no sunset could be seen as the sun had dipped below the mountains and behind the clouds. It was utterly serene.....every now and then a flash of lighting could be seen, and the very faint sound of distant thunder. Quiet though at my location, just the sound of birds at dusk is all.
