Sunrise Of Fall by kkart Sunrise Of Fall by kkart
The first light of a fall day shines on the mountain tops of the Colorado Rockies as the skies of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Sometimes using a longer lens to get intimate landscapes that the human eye otherwise would miss is a wonderful thing, and so it is here using my Minolta 18-200mm on my Sony a550 to get in close to the detail. I love doing these kinds of shots, it is just amazing what you find! Combined with in camera HDR, a Grad ND and CPL, tripod & shutter release, it all came together. I really think that at times, God knows just how to paint the skies.

I hope you all like it
John

Very good exposure. But I think I'd love a bit cropping in the bottom. The dark foreground is very dominant and the picture might be a bit heavy in the bottom, and I'd love to see more of that delicate sky!

Anyways a very good photograph :)

I tend to shoot a lot of the same subject too. Moving around is very smart. I usually end up with a far better picture after several shots.

You are a very talented photographer and an inspiration to not just me, but to many photographers out there. Don't stop doing this.. ever :)

At first I read: 'Sunrise of fail', which made me think "WHY?!"
Imagine my relief when it was "fall" after all haha!

It's very beautiful, and indeed God has a way with the colours and brushes that paint our lives.
