Storms Over The American West
The sound of the thunder is something which I have always loved, it just has a certain romance about it, and perhaps even more so when it is happening at dusk...here the sun was starting to go down behind me to the west, and the storms were starting to form over the eastern plains with the rain starting to fall...a beautiful scene caught in the rural country part of Colorado.
I hope you all like it

DUDE! these pictures are incredible. This is the kind of painting i like to do. would you be interested in letting me use your photos to paint from. let me know thanks!
huh, this reminds me of a setting you would see in lord of the rings.. lol
Oooh, love the dramatic lighting!
I just adore the light
This is simply stunning--no doubt there's some clever filter-use going on here, just one ND Grad or two? Vignetting in post-processing?
An utterly stunning atmospheric shot! Great one, the hill is like a pyamid?!
This scene has a lot of value. -don't know what else to say...
Thanks but honestly you have way to many images in that news article, wayyyyy to many. By having so many, you risk having your article deleted. Guidelines are for no more than 50 thumbs (which is still a boatload) Also, I would break it up in to different parts, like v1, v2, etc. Having so many images in a news article actually takes away from those who are featured in it. No one is going to sift through 300 thumbnails in a news article, it completely overwhelms people, and people click away, this taking away from the artists whom you have in it.
That is one ominous looking sky you can almost feel the static building up, you know, when you get that metallic taste in your mouth just before the storm breaks
I can almost hear the thunder and feel the rain in this wonderful shot!
I love this so much.
stunning photograph. I love the light flowing in the picture, with its climax on the peak/mountain and also how it's "crashed" by the clouds from above. Composition is great, and the atmosphere as well - you can really feel the rain coming.
breathtaking view, the light is just excellent! very well captured
I like this a bunch! Nice shot John
wooow this is really stunning !!!
great contrast mate, wonderful job!
Awesome work, sir.
Beautiful lighting in this image and almost has a hint of a tilt-shift lens effect to it too!
Very nice, love the light in this one.
