Sitting in the center of the town square in Santa Fe, New Mexico stands the St. Francis of Assisi Church. Built between the years of 1869-1886, it sits on an earlier site of a church built in 1626 that was destroyed by the Pueblo uprising and revolt. I gotta say that when I saw this, my mouth hit the floor, this place is just remarkable and no architecture since Cologne's Cathedral that I have seen has left an impression on me like this place did. Standing here, you are in a timewarp...the local Indians selling their goods out front on the sidewalks, flute music playing, you FEEL it...I had to be VERY fast with shooting this as traffic was heavy (cars and people) so I took it hanging out the car window. Even with cars backed up behind me, oddly no one semed to mind the 1 minute wait, and people were smiling at me. Must be that friendly New Mexico spirit perhaps??
Thoughts welcomed, print to come --John ------------------------
Is this composed of three different shots at different light-setting, or one shot which is tweaked to different lighting level? Do you use Photoshop's auto HDR tool for this?
Thank you! I use anything BUT PS's HDR, I seriously dislike it, the shot was just taken at different ev compensations, then all selectively blended into a regular processed capture
