The muted colors are terrific in this. And it has such a wonderful organic feel...resembling the lovely bulk of a living creature rather than simple steel and chrome! Added to my favourites, if I may.
My pleasure. It's a very unique view! (And I'm old enough to remember some oldies but goodies re cars, lol.)
Btw, my dad had a mint condition Buick Roadmaster (circa 1940-something, I believe?) that he talked my grandfather into selling to him. The beauty had barely ever been out of grandad's garage and it was a dream for our family to travel in...the ride was so smooth, it was like "driving the living room sofa," as my dad said!
Hmmm....not a sedan, but a tourback, I remember. I think ours was an early 50's model, in fact, and not a 40's as I had originally thought.
I searched out a few pics and it seems to resemble this model: [link]
The 1950 model possesses much more in the way of chrome grillwork, but the silhouette matches.
According to the police, "The Blue Light" (yes, we named her! Pathetic, weren't we?) was the most stolen and taken-on-a-joyride car in the neighborhood! Luckily we always found it abandoned a few blocks away and relatively unharmed. Even the thugs had respect for such a great vehicle, I suppose! LOL
