The "Supermoon" as captured last night atop Lookout Mountain overlooking the city of Golden and metro Denver, Colorado. I was surrounded by several other photographers who apparently all had the same idea as I did for a place to shoot it from. I though decided that I wanted something different than just a closeup of the moon, and started thinking. I wanted something that would portray the whole scene, exactly as it looked pretty much, something that wasn't just a sheer study of the moon itself but rather what it was I was seeing and experiencing. So I decided to shoot this way, showing the whole city, the lights, how bright the moon was (was it ever!) and how the clouds just glowed. I had to really battle the wind coming off the mountains and foothills...it was a challenge ...and have to really weigh my tripod down ( actually took a shot of it from my Droid and you can see it here

Hope you all like it

The colour is amazing, the composition is perfect and the city lights are incredible. This is a beautiful photo, really well done
