Ok a little story that goes with this shot;

Seeing a Moose in Colorado happens, though it isn't something that is an everyday occurrence by any means, especially outside the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park (Brainard Lake/Indian Peaks area not withstanding) So we were leaving Estes Park and came upon a horse ranch when I happened to glance over and see this huge thing running through the trees on the ranch property. It was quite funny watching him, he seemed almost confused knowing that people weren't the only ones watching him, but all the Horses in the corral were too, and they were quite curious and very nervous about him. Some of the horses scattered, while others looked at him as if to say "wtf are you, you aren't a Horse", and yet others seemed ready to defend their territory. How close was he to the horses? Check this shot out, it will certainly give you an idea of what I mean [link] in terms of distance.

He had just gotten out of a pond on the ranch property when I photographed this shot using my Puffin Pad, kind of scurrying along to get away from all the commotion and back to his own little piece of privacy.

I hope you all like it

Sharp. Serendipity of being in the right place at the right time - WITH your camera! Congrats.

It's always amazing where wildlife chooses to (reclaim) show up in and around human habitation.

What a cool picture! I met a moose once as a child in New Hampshire... In the woods near where I live. We both came into a clearing from opposite sides and stopped cold. We just stood there staring at each other for a bit and then he turned and walked back out again. I think I was about eight at the time. I haven't seen one like that since.
