Well this is one for all my car watchers. Shot this at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado. A place that I MUST get back up to again. This whole scene just really caught my eye....that 40 Ford up front sure was something else, just a really nice sedan. I sat here and just took it all in, wondering what all these 'in the waiting to be street rodded' (and believe me, they are) relics would say if they could talk. Where they have been, who has ridden in them, what times they have seen. All lined up awaiting their ressurection to streetrod-haven. And they all will be, each and every one of them.
Thoughts welcomed & print forthcoming.

gorgeous shot...!
and i'm usually not a fan of color...but the color here is simply beautiful...so warm...so fantastic.......i didn't really see anything soecial about this photo when i saw its thumb-nail image in your gallery, because it needs to be seen for its color and detail...as if one is about to step into it...but once i've clicked and enlarged it it stunned me with its beauty...
naturally the main allure of this shot is that 'living' deep sky [without those luminous almost supernatural clouds this shot would be flat and completely dead imho] which contrasts with the flat weatherbeaten vintage tin of the cars, but there's more to that photo that truly makes it such a gorgeous original shot...
the incredibly beautiful warm hues of the flaking paint and oxidation on those cars.... that strangely beautiful mauve-like color of the ground/soil... the green of that pick up in the far plan parked next to the steel corrugated garage-like door of the building...even that structure's roof plays a significant part here...
everything just came together perfectly here so besides the obvious skill and eye of the photographer [and presence of mind to see all this], luck had a big hand in creating this image...
and - in my opinion - the cars' 'brightwork' with its muted patina and oxidation is just right in this image...as opposed to someone else's comment earlier...any brighter or more accentuated and it would unbalance the image rather than harmonize it...
this one's definitely going into my faves and will be purchased along with a couple of other monotonal works of yours man...
big congrats for capturing this image...
I like this shot except the green truck in the back ground. and the trees coming over the roof. lighting is great and your control of contrast is mouth watering. I have soo much to learn with photography.
Thanks! I spose I coulda cropped out that truck. The trees I meant to do actually but phased that lol This place is just a goldmine, I need to get back up there again soon!
