Guanella Pass, Colorado
Every year during Fall I head here to revisit this scene and to photograph it, trying my best to better the previous years captures. This year I got lucky with having virtually no pre-dawn mountain morning breezes (it always seems that 30 minutes before sunrise in the mountains, the breeze & wind picks up) This for once allowed me to shoot this scene with virtually no interruption at all from the movies trees or leaves, something which has seriously plagues me in the past with this shot.
It was gorgeous, absolutely stunning with the colorful Aspen framing the river and the stair step style rocks. Not to mention the fresh moist Fall air....it doesn't get much better than this!
