The Golden Wildfire (Indian Gulch Wildfire) comes to life and burns down a hillside above Golden, Colorado. This was a long exposure of around 10 seconds. What may seem like noise within the image is actually hot ash that is in the air. For this shot I used my Tamron 200-400mm and zoomed in closely as I really wanted to get a sense of scale and show the destructive power that *daskibum
and I were all witnessing. I was shocked at it came in to view on the back of my cameras LCD ...it reminded of something that one sees on TV about the history of Pompei or a Hollywood volcano disaster movie. It was straight up crazy!
