Prints come in all shapes and sizes along with all paper finishes including canvas. If you decide to purchase any of my work, I would love to see it! Feel free to send me a snapshot of it hanging and I will feature it on my facebook page.
About the photograph-Fall can be such a contrast of seasons in Colorado. What starts out as warm can often turn cold and when the snow falls it can create almost a surreal look and feel to the landscape. Late fall is one of my favorite times of the year to be a photographer. The opportunity is limited as the window maybe open up only 1-3 times out of the year where things come together to make it all happen. Photographed at Chatfield State Park, I had some very subtle light to work with before the sky gave way to brilliant blues creating another look and feel entirely than what you see here. In a way it almost reminds of IR photography with the colors, fun stuff! I just wish I had more chances to photograph this sort of weather during Fall.
I too thought IR when I saw the thumbnail. The actual image was more pleasing than I had initially anticipated. I have seen this before growing up in Maine, but it was a rare thing to see, and my ninja turtle camera would've done a poor job of capturing what you've captured so well. Nicely done.
wonderful shot John. We're in the northeast now (far removed from Japan) and didn't get the bright colors this yr. matter of fact, i wasn't even inspired to do much photography it was that bad. Glad that Colorado got some goodness.
