Now those of us that live here will probably see this shot and say "Oh now that is just typical" lol In a sense ya I spose it is. It doesn't even look real, but is certainly is. It was cold...dang cold on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park where this was shot at. Mt Patterson elevates in the background and if ya look closely, you will see a road on that hillside. That is Trail Ridge Road....only a couple more months and it will be open and I shall be there, camera in hand, I honestly can't wait. Anyways, thoughts appreciated and print to come :D Shot on my Minolta 5D & Minolta 18-200 DT lens.

Hmmmm....

I love the shades of blue on the sky, how you get two or three flavors of blue. The contrast of the bright mountains against the darker foreground, a hint of light on the pine trees.

I like it. :)

I haven't spent a lot of time on the western side of the park. I'll have to check it out.

you seriously make me want to move to colorado; you capture the best of it.

excellent shot...i love how the clouds, mountians, and trees are like a stripe across the middle. i also enjoy the interesting shapes of the clouds; even though they aren't exactly the main subject of the photo they are still so fascinating to look at...do you wait until everything is perfect or is colorado always ready for the camera? :giggle:
