Location: Mount Evans visitor center, elevation 11,500 Feet
Description: This shot was hard. Dang hard to take. Not from a photography standpoint but from a serious lack of oxygen standpoint. Over 2 miles up....surrounded by Bristle Cone Pines (one of the oldest living things on earth, only seen on Mt Evans...several thousand years old) this Alpine Meadow made for quite an ideal location, when I wasn't huffin' and puffin' and getting very dizzy from walking 20 feet! lol I had to stop several times to catch my breath. This is the edge of the tree-line, where very little was behind me, the oxygen is to thin for things up here to grow.
Thoughts and critique welcome and invited. Print forthcoming!
Used my Minolta 18-200 DT Lens on this shot.
