A New Start

Photo Thoughts---There is something to be said about clarity when it comes to photography and photographing a scene. It is hard to describe but when couple with good contrast, it has the ability to really bring a shot forward to the viewer. When I photographed this scene I was really hoping it would come out. I tinkered a lot with the exposure and photographed several different frames in order to get one which I really was happy with. I was happy with all of them but I wanted one which absolutely just nailed it. Coupled with the light fleeting and changing each and every second, each one of the shots I took has a different look & feel about it. I have actually debated about maybe doing a triptych of a few exposures showing this same scene over a couple minutes difference, we'll see. Anyways, that reflection got me bad. Really bad. I was over the moon about it along with that rock in the foreground which contained water in it. There was just something about it. Add in the sound of the Elk bugling across the shore and you have a scene which I will never forget. Welcome to where blue hour meets golden hour along the shores of Lake Estes in Estes Park, Colorado on a Fall morning I will always look back and smile upon.
