A Golden Hour Sunset

Captured a couple evenings ago, this sky had me just dreaming...looking over the plains of Colorado, west towards the mountains, watching the sun sink in the western sky....life can't much better folks! It was pretty amazing how much the sky changed as well with it's colors, so in other words you can expect quite a few shots to come from this sunset! In fact, it did something that I had never seen before, which involved, well, I don't really know how to explain it, like sunflares or something. It is utterly wild looking and gorgeous as well, and I was lucky to have captured those as well. So yeah, stay tuned!

Let me know what ya guys think!

Thanks everyone for your feedback & comments. It is impossible for me to say thank you to everyone who leaves comments, as it takes away from me seeing YOUR work, but if you do I will swing by your page and check your work out.
Thanks!

Gorgeous my friend! I love how its bright enough to see the mountains in the distance but dark enough to produce silhouettes :)
Congrats on another stunning image :)

Magical sky...makes me wanna close my eyes and just breath.
That's pure happiness in colors.
Looks so warm...so right.

Absolutely gorgeous John! That cobalt blue against the golden tones is just so striking. I wish I'd been there to see it.

Lovely work!

:omg: If someone painted this scene, no one would believe this color combination. Absolutely gorgeous! The sky is so fantastic that it is almost easy to miss the lovely landscape beneath it. Wouldn't you want to live here? =D

Geeze...that is just stunning. Such vivid colors, and purple mountains, and the plains...it all comes together so well. I am looking forward to the others!

It's gorgeous John.! I might have (if I had photoshop and knew how to use it =D) taken out the jet contrail line, it's a tad distracting from the beautiful interplay of light , shadow and flares in that area, if you put your finger over it , you will see what I mean, I think.
